The quest for palaeolithic art in the Neris river valley, Central-Eastern Lithuania

Only a few artifacts discovered in Lithuania can be considered as examples of portable art from the Final Palaeolithic period. Three them were found Neris river valley central-eastern Lithuania: an engraved slate pebble Eiguliai 1А site, notched blade Skaruliai 1 and flint “figurine” Vilnius site. Discovered by Rimutė Rimantienė her father Konstantinas Jablonskis, these three finds first for many years only underpinning discussion Lithuanian Palaeolithic.
